Defend art!

It is so frustating to think that there are politics which want to eradicate artistic education. With this I mean that all that children are taught the first time they go to school it’s not usefull afterwards. We all have been showed how to draw properly without stepping out the border, and those houses with tres (sometimes, why not, a river or a pool) which made us feel true artists. We felt free, relaxed, and we could express ourselves.  Why not keep doing it for the rest of our lives?

For me, it’s such a twisted idea to snatch the only way where we can find ourselves, as it is the art, that it’s hard to believe to be true. Who hasn’t thought about starting an art class after a hard math exam? It is something inadmisible from my point of view. Art is with us every day, in different ways and levels, but it is always there.

We don’t all have the same artistic perception, but if you feel a mínimum of interest, you can´t deny that you would spend hours and hours staring at, for instance, a Jackson Pollock’s painting, while those insensible and unlearned, which seem to be the ones that don’t want to “waste Budget” in a wonderful thing as it is teaching and spread art in all its posible forms, think that it is just scribbles without any merit.

As Oscar Wilde said, “love the art itself and then everything else will be added into you”.
